  3. My area of interest is CTE/vocational education for high school students unwilling and unlikely to pursue higher education. What would interest and motivate them, and what would be useful to them after high school? Here's my blog address: http://bloggdonandon.blogspot.com/

  4. As a result of my action research plan, I hope to discover the impediment for full use of technology integration at Lyles Middle School. Our ultimate outcome would be to improve teacher practices to show gains on the Texas Campus StaR Chart in Key Area III: Teaching and Learning. Leadership and Infrastructure are now at Target Tech. That says that our school is well supported by the district as well as our leaders for technology intergration, yet, there remains a problem. My investigation will expose the teacher attitudes that are creating this scenario and, in hope, lead to some best practices that could help eradicate this.

  5. Jeri said...I have selected Response to Intevention as the focus for my action research. I will be investigating the areas of need for improvement on the implementation and documentation of the RTI interventions and Laser Focus software. The process will include working wth the district specialist to develop training on: the pedagogy and requirements of RTI, specific intervetion methods and practice, and instruction on the use of our documenting system (Laser Focus). My intent on completing this research is to identify a need, provide training, and monitor the implementation. I hope the final data analysis will show a better understanding and acceptance of the RTI process coupled with teacher buy in. Further research might include the impact on small group and individual student learning in the classroom and the reduction of student referrals to special education.

  7. My goal is to research curriculum that has been utilized in other districts for the purpose of implementing the accelerated school year. Our district has implemented a 10 day extended year program to address TEIR II students. My site supervisor and I are working to find materials and instructional strategies that will benefit these students as well as the students that have no choice but to attend. These students will need other options to help them progress on a higher level.
