My action research topic overlaps into two categories: Staff development and Individual student I will discover how the integration of 21st Century Skills impact student achievement and how we can motivate teachers to create this environment in their teaching and learning.
I will be researching the level of Web 2.0 tool usage in Cisco Networking Academy classrooms. I want to examine the impact on student engagement in an environment that is already heavily focused on technology when these tools are used. I believe that using tools like wikis and blogs will really accelerate the learning for the academy students as well as give them a voice in the classroom. Once I have determined the current level of Web 2.0 usage I will design a series of trainings focused on increasing usage in the classroom.
The goal of my Action Research is to ensure that development programs meet the participants' needs and will help Educators to become better at their jobs in order to improve student learning. My Website is www.ruedevoir.blogspot.com.
What professional developments are needed and available to The Cambridge School employees to develop and ensure collaboration as well as student and professional achievement and success?
The reason I chose this section to enter my Action research plan is because part of the programming deals with behavioral placement program that incorporates PBIS and Classroom behavior management. The professional development needs will address these concerns and work in conjunction with PBIS.
How can our campus effectively train teachers in the use of our district's online pd21 technology program so they can begin to learn about and feel comfortable using new technology in the classroom?
Effective technology use in the classroom improves student learning and produces 21st Century learners.
Can continual communication and follow-up with teachers after a technology professional development course improve the motivation of teachers to use the content in their classroom?
Topic: How can increased technology professional development, follow-up sessions, and personal learning communities improve the use of technology in the classroom at PHS?
My action research topic is centered on examining how current teacher access to professional development opportunities on my campus meets the needs of teachers and their students.

My action research plan is "How does the implementation of the new data team impact Professional Learning Communities (PLC) for second grade?" I will be exploring the consequences of teachers leading PLC.
My action research plan is "How will a peer coaching program impact; student achievement through improved classroom management and cooperative grouping,as well as teacher efficacy and collaboration on our campus."

Most schools have a large teacher turn-around due to new teachers leaving the profession after 1 - 2 years. My action research wondering is how to use professional development as a tool for new teacher retention. My action research blog can be found at: http://www.hwscott.net/educational-technology.php.
Within my internship project, I am developing online training modules for the roll-out of the teacher web pages within the district site. For my action research project, I will be working to identify the level of technology adeptness of my department and research what approaches would best work in training the staff for this program.

In my internship plan, I will head a committee "Technology Think Tank" to propose, evaluate, apply, and train (staff) primarily, but not exclusively, Web 2.0 tools to integrate in the curriculum. My action research will be the first step in this progress. The purpose of the inquiry is to determine the technology aptitude and attitude of the campus's educators in order to develop appropriate PD.
My action research plan centers on the question, "How will the implementation of Professional Learning Communities at Hurst Hills Elementary affect student achievement?"
