Whew! I thought it was just me and my novice approach to blogging. I am uncertain if we are to post information in these sections, or if information will be posted from other sources/students.
I believe that this is a way for us to collaborate with each other. We are suppose to post our specific topics if we want to share information with each other.
It is an great tool in which we look at each other's thinking process in order to obtain a rich variety of opinions and experiences that would increase the wisdom of future decisions and find information with depth and width. I like blogging, I am still new to this tool.
It is true that the most difficult part of the action research and the actual foundation is the initial work, building the action plan and creating the outline. Once this is in place, it serves as the skeleton on which everything else is supported. I appreciate all the help from our mentors and teachers.
Marilu, I was right there with you, but it appears from some of the comments above that these are not links to take us to other blogs or places, but links to provide us with "collaboration spots" to talk about whatever topic this group is....which I believe this one is "online learning".
My research project is about the effects of a blended learning environment(i.e. face-to-face instruction with online instruction) on students that are absent for an extended period of time. You can click on my name or go directly to this link http://leeannarreflections.blogspot.com/2010/08/week-3-action-plan.html to see my plan.
Yes, this blog site is a place for you to discuss your ideas and your topics. If you post your topics and your ideas here, then others may get new ideas about their topics. This blog is not designed to "take" you to other blogs. It is a discussion place! Hope this helps. KA
I had planned to track student achievement by charting the grades of students that are absent for an extended period of time; however, I am finding out that this will be a very difficult task. Does anyone have any suggestions on a better way to track success when using a blended learning environment of online instruction with face-to-face instruction?
My action research plan is about online learning and seeing if adding audio and video components makes a difference to student learning. I will research multiple online courses I teach and others in my department to see if the new components are used, evaluate grades based upon the new elements, and chart student outcomes based on pre and post surveys and grades.
Not sure if it's just me...but these posts are not leading to anything?? They seem active, but take me no where~ nothing to read??
