I teach at a Disciplinary Alternative High School and have proposed the idea of using our adopted unit from Fort Hood to mentor and tutor students in an effort to improve TAKS or EOC scores, improve the passing rate of students, and reduce recidivism. My project is looking at the affect of the daily use of number lines in math instruction on struggling students.
